In September 1999, Koirala was appointed as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, She is actively involved in social work, specifically working with organisations to promote women's rights, prevention of violence against women, and also to prevent the human trafficking of Nepali girls for prostitution. Manisha is all set to appear on the big screen once again. Her comeback film Dear Maaya is ready for release and if we go by the trailer, it seems to be a special one. Post that she will be seen in the Sanjay Dutt biopic as Manyata. .
