Hon. Major Dr. Deepak Rao is regarded as the Indian Army Pioneer of modern Close quarter battle training. An expert Commando Trainer, he trained 20,000 soldiers from every elite force for 20 years winning 4 Army Chief Citations, an unparalleled record for a single individual till date. He helped modernize outdated world war -II CQB training in Army battle schools of Kashmir valley & in Northeast jungles of Assam. He invented Rao method of reflex shooting, used by Counter Terror Schools. He is 1 of only 6 Indians since Independence to be conferred the coveted Rank honour by President of India. He was made Brand Ambassador of the Indian Army TA in Nov 2011 to inspire Indian youth to join the Army alongwith celebrities MS Dhoni, Kapil Dev, Mohanlal, Sachin Tendulkar & Abhinav Bindra. Impressed with his work, Indian Home Ministry made him a resource for Govt of India & after Taj terror, he trained 12 State Police Anti Terror Squads in modern methods.

Major Deepak Rao has multiple PhDs in Medicine (India), Military Science (Rockville), Zen (Tokyo), Martial science (Indiana) and Law (UK). He is a part time Medical Physician with special studies from Harvard, Stanford & Johns Hopkins universities. He is an expert in Zen Buddhism & Samurai Philosophy & studied Religious Literacy & Buddhist scriptures from Harvard University. He is a published Author of 10 books on Political science, Military Training, Philosophy & Medicine, with his books gone to FBI, INTERPOL & Buckingham Palace. He is perhaps the topmost corporate trainer and Motivational Keynote Speaker in the Military field.

In Martial Arts, He is India’s senior most blackbelt Grandmaster (9th deg). He is India's first BJJ Blackbelt from legendary Rickson Gracie. He is the world’s highest Instructor in Bruce Lee's art JKD, and studied under Bruce Lee's student Grand Master Richard Bustillo RIP.
