​V.V.S. Laxman, is a former renowned Indian cricketer. Laxman represented Hyderabad in domestic cricket and has played for Lancashire in English county cricket. He was the captain of the Deccan Chargers team in the Indian Premier League in its first year. In 2011. VVS Laxman is widely regarded as one of the Best batsman in the Test match  format of the game.


VVS Laxman was awarded the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award from the Government of India. He announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2012.​
